US Army 239th Birthday
US Army 239th Birthday Celebration at VFW Post 1760

Ismael M. Portillo Jr., from the VFW Post 1760 would like to post our outcome on our 239th Army Birthday Celebration Party that was held on Saturday, June 14th.

He would like to say that our celebration was a blast and had a great turn out. We had a great crowd from our post as well as other VFW Post members and American Legion.

First of all with all the support of all the men and women in the Auxiliary and post members who donated and helped make this even happen.

He would also like to thank: Tommy Figuerora’s son, Nicholas Figuerora who is serving in the Army, Ernie Granillo’s son Daniel Granillo who is serving in the Air Force, my nephew Gilbert Lucero who is serving in the Air Force, and my daughters Angelica Portillo and Jessica Portillo who are serving in the Navy. I was proud to see that our family members took the time to make a warm greeting video to us all on this special event. I just would like to Thank them also, for serving as well as all the Veterans in our Country in every branch who are serving, today.

He would also like to Thank again Kamei Burrows for her assistance with the decorations as well as Alex for making the Audio, Ole with the flyers, Roger for the entertainment, and all the men and women who assisted with the food, and my wife Angelica who provided the main course meal.

We had a great time and hope everyone enjoyed themselves, as well.

We expect to have a double blast next year.

Thank you, all again.
