Bartender Volunteer Description

VFW Post 1760 | MesaVFW.org

Our non-profit organization from time to time seeks a bartender to work a few shifts (majoritively evening) at our establishment (part time basis).

VFW Post 1760 in downtown Mesa has been serving veterans, their families and the surrounding community since 1929. Located in the heart of Downtown Mesa, the Veterans of Foreign Wars continues to serve.

Position requires some bartending experience with good customer service skills, attention to detail and have reliable transportation. This is a great opportunity for someone starting in bartending after completing bartending school.

Responsibility, Trust and Accountability is a must.

We require the completion of retrieving a food handler’s card as well as completion of the Arizona Liquor Law basic training course (if you don’t have current card/course completion we can assist).

Those that are hired need to know they will be working a military veteran environment and does not have any issue with said atmosphere. Being a non-profit private organization, the canteen area is currently a smoking allowed facility.

Availability to be called in on short notice is a definite plus, as we know those in this position generally hold more than one employment.

The new hire will start work with the manager on morning shifts, and later be permanent on morning and/or evening shifts when training is complete. Evening shifts are from 4pm to close.
