VFW Post 1760 offers veteran funeral assistance to those veterans and their families with veteran funeral services at the Post Hall. At the time of this writing there is no service charge for those veteran families in seek of a locale to conduct their ceremony. Proof of being a veteran for the deceased is required (i.e. dd214)
Additionally, our Post Chaplain can assist with a funeral service. (click on Chaplain's link for more information). VFW Post 1760 currently does not have the staff or resources to conduct Color Guard or Honor Guard duties.
The Veterans Administration offers a number of benefits to veterans and their spouses. Although a veteran may qualify for certain burial benefits, they are not automatic.
