Attention students, 6-8th grade, Patriot’s Pen deadline extended:
VFW Post 1760 extended the deadline for Patriot’s Pen (6-8th grade) youth essay competitions to November 7, 2020. We have had great response to Voice of Democracy (9-12th grade), and that deadline remains October 31, in fairness to all those who have met the deadline. So far, no one has submitted an entry for Patriot’s Pen, a short written essay contest.
See our page on Patriot’s Pen and Voice of Democracy for this year’s application and rules.
The themes are:
Patriot’s Pen: “What is Patriotism to Me?”
Voice of Democracy: “Is This the Country the Founders Envisioned?”
Again, a great big thank-you to all the students, and their supporting families and teachers, who have already submitted entries in the Voice of Democracy competition. We will continue to accept Voice of Democracy entries through this Saturday, October 31, per the published deadline.
