In the early part of last month an email was received from General Sales Manager/Director of Marketing Kevin Barnes from Superstition Springs Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. He inquired for a meeting with our Post about how we might be able to partner with each other in supporting our efforts to assist Veterans in our community. Soon after Commander Dan Wilson and Kevin had met the following Saturday and concluded with SSCJDR making a very generous donation to the Mayors Challenge to End Veteran Homelessness here in Mesa. In addition of that donation there was the suggestion of participation in a television commercial with the inclusion of reps from not just our Post but also from other veteran organizations in Mesa.
The Commander was successful in recruiting participants from both American Legion Post 26 and DAV East Valley Chapter 8 and filming was set for May 19th.
