This year’s Auxiliary of VFW Post 1760’s Children’s Christmas party was another gala event with fun had by all. This is an event the Auxliary puts on every year. There was more children then last year’s party, more gifts for the children, and of course Santa found time in his busy schedule to visit these wonderful children.
As the families started to arrive they saw in view a stocking with each child’s name on them. The children were occupied with playing a bean bag throw to start things off, followed with provided food for the families. Followed next was the coloring contest that the kids enjoyed participating in. At the conclusion of that event Santa made his grand entrance.
Each child present was able to spend time individually with Santa, receiving their present from Santa along with a stuffed stocking and hot chocolate Christmas bulbs.
Much appreciation goes out to those who participated in putting this event together, with a very special appreciation to the Auxiliary Junior Vice President Denna Treadway. From the VFW Membership we give a big ‘Bravo Zulu!’ on a job well done, thank you Denna!
